animals, however, human development and the accompanying destruction of

extinction such as monkeys, parrots, sloths, white
lipped peccaries, and many more.We believe by doing our part in helping injured wild animals and educating
the public on the struggle of these animals, we will be helping to restore
the balance between man and nature.

            Maleku Indigenous Indian Tribe.The Maleku are an indigenous tribe in Costa Rica located
in the Guatuso Indigenous Reserve near the town of San Rafael de Guatuso. Many of the indigenous people live on the
reserve and around the area and in very poor conditions. The Maleku keep their heritage alive by creating local art, keeping their
medicinal gardens going, building indigenous huts and way of dress.  People
have the opportunity to visit the Maleku on their reservation and see their
way of life but their location is not convenient for most travelers so not
much income is generated by this.
