Kakuli Bush Camp

Project #1

The Kapani School Project (KSP) was established in 1986 by the late Norman Carr. Its objective is to fund school fees for families who are otherwise unable to afford education.

Currently, the Project sponsors 11 primary school students, 17 secondary students, 15 boarding students, and 15 college students within Zambia, all of whom originate from Mfuwe.

Through Norman Carr’s personal connection to the founder of Yosefe Basic School, the KSP has developed a close relationship to this particular primary school and continues to help Yosefe improve both its infrastructure and extracurricular activities for students.

All the needs are current as of September 26, 2016

Listed on this page are the specific needs requested by the community project(s) so you can choose exactly what to pack for a purpose and express your gratitude to the local community with the supplies you take them.

Candy and balloons are not on the needs list as they are harmful for the children and the environment for the following reasons:
• Few of the children benefiting from these projects have access to toothpaste, toothbrushes, or a dentist. The candy promotes cavities.
• The balloons once they become deflated are a choking hazard for local wildlife.

Instead of taking candy or balloons, use that space for additional requested supplies, as they are priceless.
