Liziping National Nature Reserve is located in Ya’an, Sichuan, where captive-bred Giant Pandas were released into the wild. This project is located on the border of the reserve, where locals have depended on nature for generations.
Due to limited resources, local people desperately need alternatives to live on and kids needs better ways to be educated. We hope to help our travelers know more about Giant Panda conservation, as well as help with locals.
As part of our participatory activities to learn about locals, we suggest our guests pack some supplies for local kids, tell them stories of the world, and give them more inspirations. Volunteers also participate in the school activities and interact with kids in person.

Liziping National Nature Reserve is located in Ya’an, Sichuan, where captive-bred Giant Pandas were released into the wild. In order to conserve the pandas, scientists send captive-bred pandas back to the wild in hope of increasing the wild population’s gene diversity so as to successfully conserve the species.
To learn every detail of the released pandas in the wild, the team of the reserve tracks pandas every single day, even without sufficient equipment and supplies. Most of the time, the staff have to suffer from the bad weather.
We hope our travelers learn the real conservation on Giant Panda as well participate in the marvelous work.

Candy and balloons are not on the needs list as they are harmful for the children and the environment for the following reasons:
• Few of the children benefiting from these projects have access to toothpaste, toothbrushes, or a dentist. The candy promotes cavities.
• The balloons once they become deflated are a choking hazard for local wildlife.
Instead of taking candy or balloons, use that space for additional requested supplies, as they are priceless.
