Entre Amigos creates educational opportunities for children and families in San Francisco (San Pancho) Nayarit, Mexico. Entre Amigos’ established community center is dedicated to increasing learning opportunities for disadvantaged children and families in a small, rural pueblo of about 2,500 residents.
Entre Amigos’ staff of volunteers and teachers provides educational workshops and classes to 300 students per year, sponsors school scholarship programs for 81 students, and provided children with homework tutoring 1,300 times last year.
Donated items contributed will be used to augment the center’s constantly depleting resources. Additionally, the donated items will help support adult productivity workshops.

Candy and balloons are not on the needs list as they are harmful for the children and the environment for the following reasons:
• Few of the children benefiting from these projects have access to toothpaste, toothbrushes, or a dentist. The candy promotes cavities.
• The balloons once they become deflated are a choking hazard for local wildlife.
Instead of taking candy or balloons, use that space for additional requested supplies, as they are priceless.
