The Tanoliu Primary School serves 105 children from the ages of 5 through 12. The Havannah has been working on building two new classrooms for the school, as they currently have only two classrooms and a tin shed for six grades. Most families in Tanoliu are self-sufficient, but cannot afford to purchase schools supplies for their children.
We also run a school scholarship program for the children of Lelepa Island who need assistance affording high school, as this is not financially possible for most families in the area.

Candy and balloons are not on the needs list as they are harmful for the children and the environment for the following reasons:
• Few of the children benefiting from these projects have access to toothpaste, toothbrushes, or a dentist. The candy promotes cavities.
• The balloons once they become deflated are a choking hazard for local wildlife.
Instead of taking candy or balloons, use that space for additional requested supplies, as they are priceless.
