The Maeramit Luang School is non-formal school at Karen village in Ban Maeramit Luang, Om Goi District, Chiang Mai. There are 3 teachers and 77 students (from grades 1 through 6 primary school).

Approximately 80% of students continue their education until grades 9 to 12 (secondary and high school), but it’s a remote education.

Wall Charts:
(English) Human Body, Language, and World Maps

Art Supplies:
Craft Scissors

Educational Games/Toys:
Chess Sets and Puzzles

Sports/Outdoor Activity:
Frisbees, Inflation Pumps, Jump Ropes, Netball/Basketballs, and Soccer Balls

Candy and balloons are not on the needs list as they are harmful for the children and the environment for the following reasons:
• Few of the children benefiting from these projects have access to toothpaste, toothbrushes, or a dentist. The candy promotes cavities.
• The balloons once they become deflated are a choking hazard for local wildlife.

Instead of taking candy or balloons, use that space for additional requested supplies, as they are priceless.
