The Macaw reintroduction project has released 71 macaws over the last 10 years. The project has been very successful with breeding pairs having young for the last 5 years.
The turtle project has been ongoing for the last 15 years. It aims to protect turtle eggs from being poached and to increase the survival rate of the baby turtles. Both projects have to be monitored and data collected. Binoculars, cameras and GPS are needed to track the macaw's behavior and GPS and torches are needed for ongoing fieldwork in the turtle project.
