Project #1

Small Libraries for Ban Na Taer Primary School, Dong Bang and Phone Ngam Secondary schools.

Needs

School Supplies:
Age appropriate story books for children and teenagers in English, Basic children's science books in English, Biology text books in English, General science text books in English, World geography and culture books for children in English.

There is also a not-for-profit Lao project called Big Brother Mouse which aims to introduce literacy into Laos and make reading fun! There are outlets in both Vientiane and Luang Prabang if guests would like to buy the books there. Alternatively, any donation towards it will be added towards the money Rivertime is putting towards the project and be spent personally by Barnaby on books from Big Brother Mouse for the project.

Project #2

Ban Na Taer primary school which serves 120 children ages 6 to 11 and Dong Bang secondary school which serves 800 children between the ages of 11 and 20 years old.

Needs

School Supplies:
Chalk, Colored pencils, Crayons, Erasers, Hand held pencil sharpeners, Pencils, Pens, Rulers

Sports/Outdoor Activity:
Soccer balls

Other Needs:
Ceiling fans for the classrooms (these can be sourced locally for under $40 each. Please contact the resort if you are interested in providing fans during your visit)
