Three Camel Lodge
Project #1
The local school, kindergarten and hospital that serve the small town of Bulgan which is located in the South Gobi Province of Mongolia. The Gobi nomads who live nearby as well as residents of this small town have no other access to education and healthcare.
Needs
Pencils, pens, erasers, rulers, chalk, colored pencils, volleyball balls, sportswear-like t-shirts, shorts and pants for the school. Colored papers, coloring books, puzzle books, pencils and colored pencils for the kindergarten. Sterile gauze and bandages, sterile gloves, and suture threads for the local clinic.
Project #2
Native tree planting project. The lodge has planted over 6,000 indigenous trees and supports locals who plant Gobi trees and bushes.
Needs
Seed-starting pots, plant bags, sprinklers, tools.
Project #3
Hanhongor Sum's traditional music and dance classes help to preserve and promote Mongolian traditional musical heritage. Teachers of Hanhongor Sum school teach traditional folk dance, traditional instruments such as a horse fiddle and yatga, traditional songs such as long songs to their students.
Needs
Slipper shoes (similar to ballet shoes), music notebooks, conductor's notebooks, watercolors, music sheets of relatively short classic compositions, saxophone reed, and clarinet reed.
