The More Quarters Apartment Hotel supports Injongo creche, situated in the township of Mfuleni just outside Cape Town. Injongo was started by Mavis Ngcongolo who opened the doors of her tiny shack on a plot of about 90M2. Although many parents can't afford the school fees, Mavis manages to create a loving environment and support, protection and daily meals for about seventy young and vulnerable children. Injongo Creche is being supported by a Cape Town "NGO" called "Matchbox" who are involved in the up-liftment of township crèche and nursery facilities.

Needs

School Supplies:
Chalk, Colored construction paper, Colored pencils, Craft scissors, Crayons, Erasers, Glue sticks, Hand held pencil sharpeners, Notebooks, Pens, Rulers, Watercolor paints, Watercolor paint brushes

Text/Reading Books:
Age Appropriate Story Books, in English and Xhosa

Music Instruments:
Xylophones, drums and flutes

Sports/Outdoor Activity:
Jump ropes, Netball/basketballs, Soccer balls, appropriate and robust toys

Clothing/Shoes:
New or gently used children's clothing, New or gently used children's shoes, towels and blankets

First Aid/Health:
Band-Aids, soap, combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, multi-vitamin tablets, washing powder, plastic gloves

Sports/Outdoor Activity:
Frisbees, Jump ropes, Soccer balls, Tennis balls

Clothing/Shoes:
New or gently used children's clothing, New or gently used children's shoes, jumble of all sorts

First Aid/Health:
Band-Aids
