ZuluWaters Game Reserve
Project #1
The Dalton Education Trust was founded by ZuluWaters Game Reserve and registered as an NPO in 2008 as a way to give back to the surrounding communities of Dalton Bridge, Ezindikini and Mhubheni. It has a specific focus on Early Childhood Development, and aims to provide an intervention that addresses the current needs of the community, while also investing in the future of the area's children. A network of Early Childhood Educators have been trained by LETCEE in pre-school education and PEISA in psychomotor education and aims to provide the children in the program with the skills necessary for later life, particularly focusing on non-violent communication. Two centres for Early Education have been established - the Sakhithemba Resource Centre in Dalton Bridge and the Siyazama Centre for Early Education in Ezindikini which was completed in November 2012.
