Cathedral Peak Hotel

Cathedral Peak Hotel is situated in a remote, pristine, and isolated valley. The hotel’s relationship to the environment and the community surrounding the area is extremely important.

Cathedral Peak Hotel is committed to giving back to the community and the upcoming generations. Through the involvement with Pack for a Purpose, Cathedral Peak Hotel hopes to uplift local schools and provide them with the appropriate equipment and tools needed in their schooling environments.

The Pack for a Purpose project will benefit children from preschool through high school from ages 3 through 18 years old. The schools that will be helped through this project are in the Central Drakensberg area, in the valley leading up to Cathedral Peak Hotel.

All the needs are current as of April 3, 2020

Listed on this page are the specific needs requested by the community project(s) so you can choose exactly what to pack for a purpose and express your gratitude to the local community with the supplies you take them.

Candy and balloons are not on the needs list as they are harmful for the children and the environment for the following reasons:
• Few of the children benefiting from these projects have access to toothpaste, toothbrushes, or a dentist. The candy promotes cavities.
• The balloons once they become deflated are a choking hazard for local wildlife.

Instead of taking candy or balloons, use that space for additional requested supplies, as they are priceless.
