Uyoba School Library is a project that is very close to the heart of Marula Lodge, as we, together with Africa Hope Fund and Rotary international have over the years managed to rebuild all the school buildings and even a small library where all children of all ages are encouraged to come, read, and interact. The response has been overwhelming with children coming from far and wide to read and play and learn.
The school and library are a few kilometers from the lodge, and are behind the Mfuwe village markets, and the children who benefit are those who cannot afford any other means of education.

Candy and balloons are not on the needs list as they are harmful for the children and the environment for the following reasons:
• Few of the children benefiting from these projects have access to toothpaste, toothbrushes, or a dentist. The candy promotes cavities.
• The balloons once they become deflated are a choking hazard for local wildlife.
Instead of taking candy or balloons, use that space for additional requested supplies, as they are priceless.
