Pack for a Purpose does not condone visiting orphanages, as this can often lead to negative impacts on children. The accommodation or tour company working with the orphanage will deliver the supplies in a coordinated and respectful way so that the children can benefit from them. Your generosity is not diminished because you do not interact with the children.

Project Description
Mais Caminhos is our social program, offering educational and cultural activities for underprivileged local Brazilian children and teenagers. Our philosophy is to support motivated underprivileged children and offer them tools that can help change their lives. We offer education, theater, dance and recreation to children from ages 8 through 17 years old in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro. We also more recently started a new English program teaching English to children and young adults.
