Alana’s Story

In September 2016, I was planning a trip with my boyfriend to Bali, Indonesia. I was reading a few blogs and found a write-up about Pack for a Purpose. I did some research and instantly fell in love with the idea. We got in contact with the lady who is volunteering to teach English at a non-profit school on the island. She gave us some ideas of school supplies the school needed.

We met up with her and the other teachers, but unfortunately the students didn’t attend because they thought they were still on summer break. However, she has since then sent me pictures of the students using our supplies and learning about Canada and how far we traveled. It has been such an amazing experience, and I still communicate with them occasionally. I look forward to always check to see if there is anything to bring on my future travels!
