Tara’s Story

What a brilliant idea to Pack for a Purpose. I always used to give clothes I didn’t need anymore to people who needed them when I travelled, but this is an organised way to give what is actually needed where it is needed. We were lucky enough to stay at the iconic Twelve Apostles Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. They support a local school that desperately needed coloured pencils, pens, erasers and sharpeners. We have too many of these lying around the house so I literally emptied the drawers! It’s such a good feeling to know that children who want to learn and have a better life have a slightly better chance of doing that just because I had a little extra space in my suitcase and could easily hand the contents over.
