Sammi’s Story

In December 2017, I was turning 13 and taking a family vacation to Curacao for my bat mitzvah. I wanted to find a way to give back and help the community and I found Pack for a Purpose. At home I spent my birthday money and bought school supplies, crafts, board games, and clothing for young students and packed them in an extra carry-on bag. I also included some unused stuffed animals for very young kids. The bag was delivered to the Fundashon Amigunan di Cristo afterschool project by the Santa Barbara resort staff. It was very rewarding to know that children could benefit from the supplies I gave. I will definitely do this again my next trip.
