Pack for a Purpose Celebrates 10 Years of Meaningful Global Impact

On December 17th of 2009, Pack for a Purpose went live on the web. On December 14th of 2019, we celebrated our anniversary with a lunch to express our gratitude to the interns and volunteers who have made our global impact possible.

Many of our volunteers are too far away to travel to Raleigh for lunch, and some were simply unable to attend. However, it is the commitment of all our volunteers and interns, both former and current, which have allowed us to achieve our longevity and success. A community of people with talent, commitment, and enthusiasm is a powerful community. Pack for a Purpose has been so fortunate to have such a community.

The Pack for a Purpose traveler community has delivered over 156,717 kgs (344,777 pounds) of supplies meeting essential needs in over 60 countries in the last 10 years.

For those of you who love graphs, it looks like this.

At Pack for a Purpose, we are always delighted by the stories we receive from travelers about how meaningful and impactful their family vacation, wedding, honeymoon, birthday celebration, or business trip was because they chose to be Pack for a Purpose travelers. Packing for a Purpose is simply, easy, and makes a Big Impact.

To continue our mission in the decades to come, we need the Pack for a Purpose community to come together once more to provide our all-volunteer organization with the funding to hire a staff of two so we can be sustainable going forward. Please make your donation on our GoFundMe page so we can reach and exceed our goal.
