PfaP Travelers Exemplify Generosity at Original Group’s Resorts

Due to economic problems, and many other difficulties, thousands of children all over the world drop out of school, being forced by the circumstances to start working at an early age. Sadly, many of them get involved in criminal activities and/or fall into addictions. In Mexico, and specifically in Riviera Maya communities, this issue affects local youth, but there is hope, as union is strength.

The ORIGINAL FOUNDATION is a Mexican non-profit civil association based in the Riviera Maya. The Foundation provides the necessary help and tools for family welfare by promoting education, health and wellness, plus community engagement through social programs such as Hoy por Ti (Today for You). Hoy por Ti aims to help low-income children by providing them with necessities and school supplies.

Furthermore, the Original Foundation is part of the Original Group, a Mexican firm with over 35 years of experience in the hotel sector, featuring three resorts: Temptation Cancun Resort, Desire Riviera Maya Resort, and Desire Riviera Maya Pearl Resort, plus two more properties under construction in Miches, Dominican Republic.

Now, the Original Foundation and Original Group’s resorts have teamed up with Pack for a Purpose to support the Original Foundation’s program Hoy por Ti, inviting guests to pack and donate much-needed school supplies.

Thanks to an extensive marketing campaign that was perfectly designed to create awareness, 165 kgs (364 lbs) of school supplies have been collected so far, which were assembled into 56 packages that included a wide variety of different supplies. Each of these packages, along with all extra materials, were personally delivered by the Original Foundation to Fundación Ciudad de la Alegría, a civil association, for their distribution.

The massive response has demonstrated how a small space and little effort can make a Big Impact. All of us, at the Original Foundation, Original Group, and Pack for a Purpose, are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of guests, by their response to our call for help, and the selfless acts of human kindness they have displayed. We thank them for their participation; we couldn’t have made such an impact without them. Thank you so much, you are all amazing!

We look forward to continuing working together. All donations encourage youth to continue and conclude their basic educational studies, resulting in a better, more prepared society. Education is the foundation for the development of any country. Together, we can change the lives of Mexican children and their families.
