Hi there! We are delighted to introduce ourselves as Pack for a Purpose volunteers and newly found friends of Rebecca & Scott. This handsome fella is Adam and I’m Gina.
We happily discovered Pack for a Purpose by chance. Back in 2013, Departures magazine published an article on 108 of their favorite things, which of course included Pack for a Purpose (See the write up here!). Once we realized the organization was headquartered in Raleigh, NC, where we happen to live, we contacted Rebecca to find out how we could help.
We quickly found out there is a lot to love about Pack for a Purpose. For me, Pack for a Purpose combines a passion of travel with an opportunity to directly help the communities we visit. Adam enjoys reading the inspiring stories from other packers and seeing the impact the organization has had across the globe. Add in Rebecca’s freshly baked cookies and Scott’s frothy coffees… who could resist volunteering? Not us! We jumped onboard and Adam is now known as the Pack for a Purpose “Twitter Mister” and I volunteer maintaining the organization’s SalesForce database.
When Adam isn’t Packing for a Purpose, he can often be found out on the golf course. While he currently enjoys the NC weather and beaches, he is originally from the Philly area and is a huge Philly sports fan. As for me, I am usually daydreaming about our next travel itinerary, reading travel magazines, or flipping through guide books. Turkey and France are two of our favorite places to visit and we are working towards visiting all seven continents. You can bet that we Pack for a Purpose on our trips!
